London Low Emission Zone
Exemption for Mobile Concrete Batching Plant / Volumetrics
On Monday the 9th January 2012, the Batched on Site Association was informed that it had satisfied Transport for London that a Mobile Concrete Batching Plant/ Volumetric was exempt from the London Low Emission Zone charges.
The BSA had previously instructed Jared Dunbar, of Dyne Solicitors Limited, to prepare written representations on behalf of current member, Trenchco Limited, setting out why the Mobile Concrete Batching Plant came within the class of exemptions.
It is presumed that all Mobile Concrete Batching Plant will now qualify for the exemption. However, members will need to formally submit an application form to Transport for London before their respective Mobile Concrete Batching Plant will be entitled to the exemption. Members are also advised to enclose a copy of the written representations relating to the Trenchco Mobile Concrete Batching Plant. Failure to apply may leave members liable to a daily £200 charge for entering the Zone.
For details of how to register for the exemption, please contact Jared Dunbar (BSA coordinator).
